Forest School
Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.
Our regular forest school toddler group is at 10am - 12pm each Friday in term times. Children will be able to explore and play freely in a safe relaxed environment. Sessions will include free flow activities such as bug hunting, campfire cooking, crafts, sensory play and mud kitchen. Through each term the sessions will follow the children's interests as we encourage them to contribute their ideas. Each week we provide a snack which is normally cooked on the fire as well as hot and cold drinks.

Our regular Forest School Home Ed group is held during term times on Fridays from 1pm - 3pm. Our Home Ed sessions are for ages 5+ where children are encouraged to explore and play freely. Each session builds on the previous session using feedback and ideas from the group. Activities include but are not limited to bushcraft, campfire cooking, green woodworking, woodland management, natural art and crafts, den building and physical play. Each week we provide a snack which is normally cooked on the fire as well as hot and cold drinks.

Family Events
We offer a range of family events on weekends and school holidays. From seasonal celebrations to survival challenges there's something for everyone. Join us for wildlife walks, craft sessions, and interactive games, while making lasting memories in the great outdoors. Come and discover the magic of Manor Wood!
Family Forest Adventure Days
​​Join us for a full day of adventure and exploration at our Family Forest Adventure Day! Let your children unleash their imaginations and roam freely in the enchanted woods. Throughout the day there will be activities available such as fire lighting, campfire cooking, woodland crafts, bug hunting, den building, rope swings and more. The aim of the day is to create a relaxed unstructured play environment where children are free to follow their own ideas. Parents play for free or if you prefer have a cup of tea and chat around the fire.
